From Goodreads:

“Hi, I’m the guy who reads your e-mail, and also, I love you . . . “
Beth Fremont and Jennifer Scribner-Snyder know that somebody is monitoring their work e-mail. (Everybody in the newsroom knows. It’s company policy.) But they can’t quite bring themselves to take it seriously. They go on sending each other endless and endlessly hilarious e-mails, discussing every aspect of their personal lives.
Meanwhile, Lincoln O’Neill can’t believe this is his job now- reading other people’s e-mail. When he applied to be “internet security officer,” he pictured himself building firewalls and crushing hackers- not writing up a report every time a sports reporter forwards a dirty joke.
When Lincoln comes across Beth’s and Jennifer’s messages, he knows he should turn them in. But he can’t help being entertained-and captivated-by their stories.
By the time Lincoln realizes he’s falling for Beth, it’s way too late to introduce himself.

What would he say . . . ?

My Review:

I can’t be the only one who can see this been a movie right? It was visually amazing. It reminded me of I Got Mail meets When Harry Met Sally and those are two of my favorite movies. Can you say I loved this book? Don’t just say it, scream it! Shout it!

So attachments? Here we have Lincoln who couldn’t hate his job more if it was possible. He applied for an internet security job at a newspaper and ended up reading people’s emails on a daily basis at night. Talk about dreadful. Until he stumbles with Beth and Jennifer Emails. They are the highlight of his night, He should warn them their emails are being flagged but he doesn’t  ending up liking them. Specially Beth. But when information is given that left him speechless, he knows that his chances with her are now zero because of what he does. Can through email and love at first sight be real? Can they work?

I giggle. I giggle and giggle and giggle and laughed and blushed and was transported back to that time and I loved every minute of it. And Rainbow Rowell has done It again. Every time I read on of her books I end up the same, a giggling girl with red cheeks and wide eyes sitting at her Uni crushing a book to her chest like a crazy person. I am that person.

This book was light and cheery. It was funny and at the same time inspiring but most of all romantic. I mean can we talk about Lincoln? The massive, cute guy? The sweet, nerdy guy? The romantic and loyal guy? He was amazing. How about Beth? The funny, pretty girl?  The movie lover?  The tall girl with the pink pants?  The realistic and loyal friend? She was amazing too.

More than anything the book was real, even through all the romantic stuff. Most people go through that time when we don’t know what we want to be, or how we’ll get there. For some that last more, for other less. For Lincoln it was more. Finding that thing he was meant to do, finding the courage to step up and take what he wanted; took a while, but it felt so right when he did it. That’s what I like about this, the realization that life is not easy, that not all of us have large groups of friends to help us out but that the few we have are amazing, that not all of us have it all figure out, but that at the end of the day we are responsible for our choices and life’s and we should, even if it takes longer, take charge of it. ( At least that’s my take on it )

So after more giggling I’m happy and exited and it was, yet again, AMAZING!

  • “There are moments when you can’t believe something wonderful is happening. And there are moments when your entire consciousness is filled with knowing absolutely that something wonderful is happening.”
  • “I’d know you in the dark,” he said. “From a thousand miles away. There’s nothing you could become that I haven’t already fallen in love with.”
  • I pictured a girl who made every moment, everything she touched, and everyone around her feel lighter and sweeter.
“I pictured you,” he said. “I just didn’t know what you looked like.
“And then, when I did know what you looked like, you looked like the girl who was all those things. You looked like the girl I loved.”
  • “I don’t know if I even believe in that anymore. The right guy. The perfect guy. The one. I’ve lost faith in “the”.

Book Review | The Coincidence of Callie & Kayden By Jessica Sorensen

16113791Tittle: The Coincidence of Callie & Kayden

Author: Jessica Sorensen

Length: 383 Pages

Series: The Coincidence #1

Publisher: …?

Published Date:  December 13th, 2012

Gender:  Romance, New Adult and Contemporary.

Rating: ★★★★ ( 4 OUT OF 5).

There are those who don’t get luck handed to them on a shiny platter, who end up in the wrong place at the wrong time, who don’t get saved.

Luck was not on Callie’s side the day of her twelfth birthday when everything was stolen from her. After it’s all over, she locks up her feelings and vows never to tell anyone what happened. Six years later her painful past consumes her life and most days it’s a struggle just to breathe.

For as long as Kayden can remember, suffering in silence was the only way to survive life.  As long as he did what he was told, everything was okay. One night, after making a terrible mistake, it seems like his life might be over. Luck was on his side, though, when Callie coincidentally is in the right place at the right time and saves him.

Now he can’t stop thinking about the girl he saw at school, but never really knew. When he ends up at the same college as Callie, he does everything he can to try to get to know her. But Callie is reserved and closed off. The more he tries to be part of her life, the more he realizes Callie might need to be saved.

My thoughts,

This is the first book I’ve read by Jessica Sorensen; I’ve seen her cover millions of times in the Barnes & Novel Website and I’ve heard people talk a lot about her work and somehow I never read any of her books and I’m so mad at myself for waiting so long.

“I can handle scars, especially ones that are on the outside.”

I have always thought and found that the best way to get to me is through sad stories, they just have a lasting effect on me. Just like this book. It was a quiet, beautiful and heart breaking book that left me in utter shock when I got to that last page. It was intense. It was real. It was raw and I loved every word of it even if it nearly kill me.

“Life is full of luck, like getting dealt a good hand, or simply by being in the right place at the right time. Some people get luck handed to them, a second chance, a save. It can happen heroically, or by a simple coincidence , but there are those who don’t get luck on a shiny platter, who end up in the wrong place at the wrong time, who don’t get saved.”

The thing that I loved about this book is how well it describes everything, There was never a moment where you wondered what was going on the other persons head because there was an amazing POV that let me get into so much detail of each of their past. It was a lot of building  (I mean almost the whole book) for that moment that leaves you breathless. It’s nice though, because it feel real, it feels awesome to see their connection and see how they get where they need to be.

“I often wonder what drives people to do things. Whether it’s put into their minds at birth, or if it is learned as they grow. Maybe it’s even forced upon them by circumstances that are out of their hands. Does anyone have control over their lives or are we all helpless?”

Lets start with Callie, She is a quiet girl who just wants to get out of her hometown and forget about that horrible night. Kayden is perfect, At least that’s what everyone things. But he has learned that he is nothing and to just do things as his parents want ,or face the consequences. But as much as he tries to be who his dad wants is never ever good enough. And then one night, when things just spin out of control, they met. Not for the first time but in a moment where Kayden needed Callie and he didn’t even know it. In a moment where she took a courageous step that changed his life forever. That saved him.

I thought I’d saved Kayden that night at the pool house, but I was wrong. I just bought him time until the next windstorm swept through.”

Now months later, they’re on college. They just want to move on but Kayden can’t, because he needs to and feels he ahs to protect Callie. From What? He doesn’t know. As they get to know each other , with out their hometown opinions they feel a connection like no other. That makes them question the impossible  that makes them realize that we don’t have to keep everything inside; that is okay to trust that one person who understands you like no other.

This book talks about strong topics in such a beautiful way. It’s not about letting the and stuff get to you but instead shedding some light into the lives of the survivors of those issues. It shows us the everyday struggles that people who have suffered from sexual and domestic abuse in such a realistic way. I’m not going to leave you or say anything more  about the plot because I would hate to spoil it for you; But im just warning you. The ending is hard and some people may not like but I did because it felt real, like life.

Before I go I’ll leave you with one quote from the rocks:

“Face Your Fears Head On and Tell Them to Fuck Off”

How I got it?:  Paperback.

At twenty-two years old, Sydney has a great life: She’s in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her best friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers Hunter’s cheating on her–and she is left trying to decide what to do next.

Sydney becomes captivated by Ridge, her mysterious neighbor. She can’t take her eyes off him or stop listening to the passionate way he plays his guitar every evening out on his balcony. And there’s something about Sydney that Ridge can’t ignore, either. When their inevitable encounter happens, they soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one…

My thoughts:

“For her I bend, for you I break.”

It’s been four days since i read this beautiful books and it’s still hard to put everything into perspective. I can’t really describe how different , heartbreaking, beautiful this book was. My emotions made my heart clench and my eyes blur throughout the book and still don’t know how is it that i didn’t cry.. I giggles like a school girl and I sign and i felt entirely in love with the book. I’m a lover of everything CoHo and I still don’t know why or how I waited to so long to read this book since I’ve had it on my bookshelf since the week it came out.

I have been thinking about how can I go into this review without spilling the story and it’s very hard. But I think the best way to really experience it is like a I did, which is to go blindly into it. Not know what to expect and be blown away by Ridge and Sidney and their life. I wont tell you a lot because going into it I hope you’ll fall in love and hope again.

Here is what I will tell you; Sydney and Ridge are the main characters of the story. Their connection is beyond the realm of reality, Their love is connected in so may levels, and they know it. They know what they could do and be together. The love they fell for music just one of the things they share and the thing that brought them together. but as much as they would wish and long to be together is nor possible because Ridge is with someone else – Yes. I know. But they were such good people, both Ridge and Sydney that things just… worked. But they have tehy hope that Maybe Someday they can make it work. Or Not.

I felt frustration, I felt torn at points,I wanted to hate people but ended up loving them. It was painful and lifting. Hopeful but truthful and even thought I HATE love triangles I didn’t hate this one; it pained me and stole my breath way.t was. this book was beautifully written and I couldn’t have asked for a better story. It was perfect. and I don’t think I could have asked colleen Hoover for a better love story. Thank you!

Quotes ❤

  • “For her I bend, for you I break.”
  • “Sometimes in life, we need a few bad days in order to keep the good ones in perspective.”
  • “I…will never…regret you.”
  • “Hey, heart. Are you listening? You and I are officially at war.”
  • “It’s you,” he says aloud. “My heart… wants you.”
  • “The more I open up to him, the more I need him. The more I admit to myself that I need him, the most it hurts to know that I still don’t exactly have him.”
  • I felt you give me a piece of your heart. And Sydney, I wanted it. I wanted your heart more than I’ve ever wanted anything. The second I reached down and held your hand in mine, it happened. My heart made its choice, and it chose you.”
  • “People don’t get to choose who they fall in love with. They only get to choose who they stay in love with.”

There is much more I could and want to say about this, But it’s best I stay quiet.

Waiting on Wednesday: Maybe Not

Hola! ❤

So Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the spine and the  point is to share a book you are anticipating and waiting anxiously.

I don’t know if you follow Colleen Hoover on IG Or Twitter. I don’t know if you liked her books. But I’ m telling you that you should. I hadn’t planned to do a waiting on Wednesday today. But after I got out of work like 1 hour ago I was checking my IG account and II  came a cross this. MAYBE NOT by Colleen Hoover and I got soo exited that it wasn’t even logical. But I mean it is another Hoover book. Duh!

When Warren has the opportunity to live with a female roommate, he instantly agrees. It could be an exciting change.
Or maybe not.
Especially when that roommate is the cold and seemingly calculating Bridgette. Tensions run high and tempers flare as the two can hardly stand to be in the same room together. But Warren has a theory about Bridgette: anyone who can hate with that much passion should also have the capability to love with that much passion. And he wants to be the one to test this theory.
Will Bridgette find it in herself to warm her heart to Warren and finally learn to love?
Maybe not.
so yeah! ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ this beauty comes out next WEEK!YES, NEXT WEEK! November 24th! and im way to exited!
Do you love Colleen Hoover? I do!

How I got it?:  Ebook

At 21, Calla hasn’t done a lot of things. She’s never been kissed, never seen the ocean, never gone to an amusement park. But growing up, she witnessed some things no child ever should. She still carries the physical and emotional scars of living with a strung-out mother, Mona—secrets she keeps from everyone, including her close circle of college friends.

But the safe cocoon Calla has carefully built is shattered when she discovers her mom has stolen her college money and run up a huge credit card debt in her name. Now, Calla has to go back to the small town she thought she’d left behind and clean up her mom’s mess again. Of course, when she arrives at her mother’s bar, Mona is nowhere to be found. Instead, six feet of hotness named Jackson James is pouring drinks and keeping the place humming.

Sexy and intense, Jax is in Calla’s business from the moment they meet, giving her a job and helping her search for Mona. And the way he looks at her makes it clear he wants to get horizontal . . . and maybe something more. Before Calla can let him get close, though, she’s got to deal with the pain of the past—and some very bad guys out to mess her up if she doesn’t give them her mom.

“He read? Oh my God, guys that read were like unicorns. They only existed in fairy tales.”

My thoughts about the book:

“Stick with me, babe, and I’ll change your life.”

Stay with me is the Third book in the Stay with me series. I had been waiting for this book for a while and I have to say I was happily surprised with this book. Let me clarify that because it came our wrong; I Loved Wait for me and Be With me and now this one. It was just a little different  I have to also say that out of the 3 Wait for me is still my favorite and it is probably because of Cameron AKA Cam but Jax is almost to his level. The Synopsis of this book is very explanatory and is not miss leading at all  so what I’ll say next is not containing spoilers.

“Don’t over-think it, honey. Life’s too short for that shit,”

Calla is following her three F’s, trying to live the life she’s been given and move on with the physical scar of her pass and everything she lost and she is doing well; Until she discovers that the money she had set aside for tuition has been taken out of her account by her mother. Now homeless for the summer and with no money to stay anyway she has to go back to the place she promised never to go back , to see if she can get some of what was taken from her. But instead of finding the famous Mona at the Bar she meets hot and flirty Jax. Now with no leads of where her mom is and random people and things happening to her the person who comes forward to help her and be there for her is the him. The guy who puts the mythical Hot Guy Brigade to shame. Calla can’t understand why he is interested in her, at all. But as things get ugly he is her safety zone. will she be able to trust her pass into the hand of this guy and move on with a future she never thought she could have?

“The whole point of this,Calla, is all of us have things we’ve lied about and things we wished we talked to someone about a long time before we did”

What I loved about this book was how mature Calla and Jax were ( Especially Jax) . The chemistry is so good and the story line is perfect. Before when I said this book surprised me was because of this; It’s a lot more intense, more sexual, more …. I have to admit the first chapter I thought “What is going on her?”when I read the part about Brandon ( If you read Be With me, you’ll know) But as chapter move forward I was extremely glad things happened as they did. I’m not going to lie, he is amazing, i liked how he was mature and sure an a lot more manly than Jase and Cam. He was not afraid and he was unapologetic about what he wanted and how he wanted .Jax was the perfect person for Calla and how things in her life are. Calla was great too; but it was kind of hard for me to connect with her. I did get to but it wasn’t instant; i loved her since Be with Me i just didn’t really understand her until later in  the book. But one thing I have to say is that she is one though girl. I would’ve been out of there as soon as i got in.

“You still with me? “

“I’m still with you”

The story keep me on my toes and I was anxious  Things where ugly but I was happy that a happy effect was thrown in. There was always something to take away from the intentness which made glad since I was pretty much glue to the book. It’s nice to see well-rounded and good character and to see and reflect on how life can change. To me the turning pints where good and I’m glad they happened and other times I was clawing my eyes out. definitely intense

“There’s something about that . . . it drew me in, Calla. Fuck. I fell for you before you even knew my name.”

In general this book is pretty awesome, The side characters are (as always ) amazing and hilarious and nice and loving and just super people. This book is about moving forward , is about looking deeper than skin and realizing how amazing you are, how someone sees that amazingness, without you never noticing and how is those people who will be there for us always. It’s about making a life for yourself when life has slapped you in the face, thrown you in the mud and spit on you. It’s about beauty. It’s about thrust. It’s about love. definitely a great book and i would totally recommend this.

Thank you for reading! 😀
