“And when that day comes, it won’t matter so much whether every step was in the right direction because life is not a straight line. It will only matter that you took them. That you never let yourself stand still.”
This is the third book in the Rusk U series , and after waiting so long for it I’m happy to say I really enjoyed it.A lot. All Lined Up and All Broken Down (Click For reviews if you want) where very good and I’ve been so tempted to buy one of the shirts.
So All lined up follows Nell, a girl who had everything mapped out; graduating early, possible masters University. But she knows that she is missing something. Friends.Experience. So she sets out to find what she is missing. Bumping into Mateo Torres, Running back of the Rusk football team and in my words party animal, class clown. Everything she shouldn’t want, but somehow can’t stop herself. These two actually form a beautiful friendship ones Mateo declares himself to be the one to help her with her firsts. All of them *Wink wink*. But he is battling with his own confidence, he knows the way people see him and that’s how he likes it , he loves to be the funny guy. But that is because he doesn’t want anyone to really know him, so he is not prepared for Nell asking for more than just his silly jokes. She gets him although he doesn’t realize it. And It doesn’t help that she reminds him of the person who he blames and wants to prove wrong.
All lined up was enjoyable, I’m not going to say my favorite in the series but a close one. I loved their relationship, I loved Nell too, she was so innocent but at the same time so…Ballsy? ah and Teo! He was just adorable. He was fun , a force of nature really. The story line…Okay, I’m sad to say that after the 4th chapter I thought it was predictable and I was right. It was just some things here and there and I ended up guessing the whole story, that’s not to say it wasn’t enjoyable and fun and surprising because it was it was just the main plot that I guessed what was happening.
So bottom line? Fun summer read, quick and hot. Your cool NA book. 🙂
I would recommend it but start with the other books so you can be more familiar with the secondary characters and don’t get any spoilers.
