Spring break is supposed to be a week of fun in the sun for three childhood friends about to graduate from college. But one of them is ready to get her game on somewhere else…
Charlie Castle is an expert archer and a fierce warrior—in her favorite video game, anyway. But college life was a program she couldn’t quite master. To land a cybertech job without a degree, she’s entering a “hackfest” over spring break—where she also hopes to meet the sweet gamer who’s been flirting with her online. Instead, she runs into the hot guy who walked away years ago, and can’t fight the desire that comes rushing back.
Jonah Best has never gotten over Charlie, whose kisses were always as deliciously creative as her coding. But now that they’re face to face again, he doesn’t know how to admit that her online admirer is really him—or how to convince her that he’s offering her a job for her incredible skills, not her sex appeal. Can Jonah cut through their communication glitches and persuade Charlie that the next level up for them should be forever?
Her perfect Game is about Charlie Castle, a college drop-out whose last hope for a future is to compete in a Hackfest that will open doors for her If, she wins and she knows she can. But what she didn’t count was to see her College love again and now everything is on the line, especially when Jonah Best has one thing in mind. And that is to win Charlie back. But can he confess the one thing he has been hiding for the past year and the only thing that might break the his last chance with Charlie before it begins again. And can Charlie forgive him for leaving her with out an explanation?
Her perfect Game is a very VERY fast read! I finished it in one siting but because it was so shot I couldn’t get one second into the story. It has so much promise but the executions is lacking. I felt like too many things happened and I couldn’t understand any of them. The back story was confusing and at the end i couldn’t understand why they liked each other or what happened when they were in college. And the story line with the game was a little bit predictable and I felt it didn’t really give me a closure with Kavren.
That being said , there when parts when i really liked it and found hilarious and cute and romantic and it gave me a glimpses into what would have happened if the story would be longer. I love the fact that she talked about Gaming and Hacking things we don’t really see in contemporary books, Loved the conference and costumes and i wanted to go to one of them so bad. Even if i cant play for my life, but i could understand the fact that there is one place where you can be yourself and not be judged
I think some might enjoy a lot more than I did. At the end of the day we all have different taste, this just wasn’t my cup of tea. So try it of you want; you might be surprise.
