How I got it?:  Nook. Paperback.

An emotional love story that follows the touch-and-go relationship of Hayden and Tenley; two young people who desperately want to love and be loved but are afraid to completely let go of their pasts.

As Hayden and Tenley navigate their newfound but slightly unstable relationship, they want to trust each other, but Hayden is hiding a dark and shameful past that he doesn’t ever want Tenley to find out about. And Tenley has secrets of her own that could make Hayden run away forever. When Tenley asks Hayden to put a beautifully elaborate tattoo across her back, the two form what they thought was an unshakeable bond. But when Tenley’s past shows up on her doorstep, will Hayden stand by her side…or run?

Tenley and Hayden are moving on. they both have faced death, loss, guilt and they are both damage. Tenley, cute and sweet, seh  just lost everything is trying to move on when she moved to Chicago for her masters degree  she know she will never be the same again and is struggling daily to remain afloat. Them we have Hayden, tattooed, pierced and sexy Hayden, who is just as damaged as Tenley but has manage to make something out of his life despise the tragedy. Hayden might be just what Tenley needs to move on, but Tenley can be the thing that brings him back to the dark. This two people find each other when the need it the most and help each other throw the bad and the worst. But some thing are just stronger than them, will the have it in them to face the facts and really see each other?

My thought.

Can we start on that cover? i loved it. and it has so much to do with the book. I’m going to be honest and say i judged a book by its cover on this one, because i fell in love with it as soon as i saw it.

What can be better than Cup cakes, kitties, tattoos and Guys with tattoos? NOTHING. if a book has a guy with tattoos, it is my tipe of book. This is a book about not letting the past dictate your future and realizing that even though bad things happen we have the gift of life and we have to make the best of it. we might have to fave things that we never thought we could but there is hope and we are strong.

Following Tenley and Hayden was fun. ans scary and perfect. Tenley has just moved into her new apartment and was working part-time at the coffee  shop down stairs when she meets Hayden , the nephew of her boss. he is mysterious and dark and she knows he is too much for her. but the attraction is still there. Sh has been to hell and back and is daily facing the consequences of her actions and feeling guilty for what happened to her family. the only way she thinks that it will heal is by placing that tattoo o her back and she knows that the only person who could really capture it is Hayden

Hayden is more than exited to work on Tenley but he knows that once he starts there couldn’t be anything between them. still he is too involved to let anyone touch her. so he realizes that he will have to way… only that things don’t go the way he planned and their sexual tension rises each time they see each other.

I liked that the understood each other, coming from what happened to both of them was hard but it gave them a big perspective on what the other one was facing. i like that even when they got together things were hard , and it wasn’t a “oh we got together i am perfect now”No, there were still nightmares, and anxiety  they were so scared of what the other would thing of them that they hid the most important facet of their relationship, i guess that is the part of any relationship that has had more work on, communication  they didn’t know they could thrust each other and that was the source of most their problems.

At time i thought there were so many things against them , The professor  Sierra, Trey, the cop EVERYONE. that i just wanted to smack all of them so Tenley and Hayden could figure things out on their own.

i really liked this book and the Side characters were so faithful and nice, Lisa and Sarah were great, I loved Chris and Jaime. They were  amazing and stole my heart. Oh and not to forget TK! ❤ i have a warning tho, this book leaves you with a massive cliffhanger so be ready for the second one!
